With the fall season on our doorsteps, Minnesota Pioneer Park of Annandale will be happy to celebrate the season at our Nobel Shadduck Fall Festival with you and your families and friends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. We have a day packed full of artisans and re-enactors doing their pioneer crafts such as,
• Bee Keeping/Master Gardener 10-11,
• Soo Line Caboose Historian, Ole Olson with his Traveling Trunk Show with special show time throughout the day,
• Barn Machinery Demos
• Kids Games all day,
• A real Blacksmith demoing,
• Chair Caning
• The new doctor is in town that day too, and our very own undertaker with his horse drawn hearse.
Craft and vendor sale 9 a.m. to
2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10
We are looking for craft and merchandise vendors to proudly display their products during Kimball’s 32nd annual summer celebration. The event will be held outdoors on the north side of St. Anne’s Cathiolic Church located on Highway 55 east. A 12’X 12’
space will be provided to each vendor, you must provide your own tents, tables, and chairs.

The Minnesota Highway Safety Center will be offering a 55+ Driver Improvement Course on the following days:
Tuesday, Aug. 13 (4-hour Refresher Course) 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Life Assembly of God, 2409 Clearwater Rd; St. Cloud.
Tuesday, Aug. 6 (4-hour Refresher Course) 5-9 p.m. Apollo High School, 1000 44th Ave N; St. Cloud.
Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 13-14 (8-hour First-Time Course) 5-9 p.m. Apollo High School, 1000 44th Ave N; St. Cloud.
The Driver Improvement course is open to the public; pre-registration is required. A MN Highway Safety & Research Center certified instructor teaches this class. By utilizing the most up-to-date research in the field, participants will be provided the latest information in regards to driver safety, new laws, and vehicle technology. This class has something for everyone! The fee for the four-hour refresher course is $20, and the eight-hour course is $24. Persons age 55 and older who complete the course qualify for a 10-percent discount on their auto insurance premiums for three years, according to Minnesota law. First time participants must complete the initial eight hours of training and a four-hour refresher class every three years to maintain the 10-percent discount.
Mrs. Stearns County will have the honor of representing her county at the Mrs. Minnesota pageant, which will be held at “Ritsche Auditorium”, March 8, 2014, in St. Cloud.
The woman chosen as “Mrs. Stearns County” will become an ambassador from the Stearns County area and will receive the official title and sash.
The woman chosen as Mrs. Minnesota will receive a prize package worth $7,000 and the chance to represent Minnesota at the “2014” Mrs. International Pageant in July.

The Children’s games and sidewalk chalk drawing will be from 11:30-12:30 p.m. Everyone’s a winner and every child will receive a prize.
The Big Fun Show is great entertainment for the whole family from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on the grass by the west side of the church. In case of rain it’ll move inside. Its comedy, juggling, magic and modern Vaudeville, a one-man circus performed by Mr. Fun himself Dave Walbridge and it is incredible fun for everyone. The whole family can enjoy the performance. This is a Legacy Funded event, sponsored by the Annandale/Kimball Great River Regional Library. Bring your own chair or blanket and relax and enjoy the show.
