The Kimball Cubs 12U were able to go undefeated in the Hutchinson Water Carnival Tournament in the Rec. Division this past weekend. All of our girls played very hard and had a lot of fun. The 5th annual Own the Zone fastpitch softball tournament was held in Kimball this past weekend. The tournament is hosted by the Marty Mudcats as a fundraiser for their team. This year’s tournament drew in 19 teams from all over Minnesota for some good competition.
The Kimball 14U took third in the 14-and-under age group Sunday, June 29.
Firearm safety sign up and first class will be starting Sunday, July 13, at the Kimball Rod and Gun Club from 5-9 p.m. and will be held on every Sunday until July 27, with Field day Saturday, Aug. 2. Must be able to attend field day to complete class. Ages 12 and up. Birth Certificate is needed at registration.
You will need your firearms safety certificate if you choose to participate in the New High School Trap Shoot Team.

Saturday, June 14, was the first-ever Minnesota State High School League clay target tournament. In fact, it was the first-ever such tournament affiliated with any state high school league.
The Kimball Area High School team, to top off its first year, qualified for State and competed June 14 along with 23 other teams. The Kimball team placed 17th in the state after four shooting rounds of competition in the pouring rain.
Our Athletes had an excellent performance at the 2014 Championship Friday, June 6, in Alexandria. They placed ninth out of 66 high school teams in Class A. Our top five Varsity shooters will represent our team this Saturday, June 14, at the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake. This is the first ever Minnesota State High School League Tournament to be held. Team events start at 9 a.m. and awards ceremony will follow at approximately 1 p.m. We encourage everyone to come and watch and help support our State Bound Athletes.
